Which direction is best to place a Lakshmi-Narayan murti?

Northeast or east is traditionally recommended. For living-room altars, place the murti so it faces the house entrance to welcome positive energy.

Is brass a good material for Lakshmi idols?

Yes. Brass is durable, ritually appropriate, and ages gracefully with proper care.

Common placements are the cash drawer, office desk, or a dedicated wealth shelf. Keep it clean and treat it respectfully.

Minimal wooden pedestals, soft LED backlight, a clean cloth base, and a few brass diyas create a refined and reverent altar.
